Growerism: More common than you think
I wanted to direct all my readers attention to a concept in the hair love community that is more common than you think. Growerism; the sexual arousal one feels while grooming another’s hair or that one feels in growing and taking special care of their own hair. sounds innocuous enough right? Who wouldn’t want to take care of themselves. Unfortunately the mainstream media has spun this in a much more nefarious light. One in which somehow they convince their readers that having long hair is a nuisance, unnecessary, and worst of all boring or outdated. All of the major news networks have so-called women narrating them. These programs display a disproportionate amount of long haired women as “cultish” and short haired women as the ever desirable “progressive” label. Our researchers watched 12 different cable news programs nightly for 6 weeks and gathered this irrefutable data. In that timeframe the 87% of the negative news stories about women were women with long hair. In 23% of cases their hair was mentioned in a negative way and in a shocking 12% of cases they tied their long hair directly to their oppression. In 3% of these cases long hair was said to be the sole negative factor worth reporting on. By shedding negative light on long hair and making it look like only religious fanatics and young girls have it we ignore all the history and tradition associated with long hair. In celebrating the so-called women who took the easy way out by cutting their hair short as brave, we don’t give the love to long hair and the people who love it. Instead we call these people sexist or archaic. This causes many hair lovers to feel that have to hide their beliefs. We all know what happens when people repress their innermost desires. Eventually everything comes out. The unintended consequence of making people feel ashamed of their love of long hair is it creates a black market for mutilation aka men who secretly buy ponytails from women around the world, stripping them of their prized women hood to fulfill an innate desires they should be able to be open about. Hair trafficking is a very real concern and in a direct way could lead to hair slavery. If we don’t start promoting positive hair love in people I fear there may someday be no long hair left in the world. As stated before we may revert to hair slavery as a way to satiate our long hair desires. Which is exactly as it implies, holding people hostage and forcibly growing out their long hair and cutting it for the highest bidder. We don’t have to let it come to this point though. If we allow long haired women to be celebrated for reasons in addition to her hair of course but hell why not just for her hair too? This promotes a healthy self image with ones hair and a reason to grow it out again for many women who have lost hope. Nobody likes short hair. The fake news media needs to stop reporting these lies as a way to make short haired women feel better about themselves; the point is they’re the ones who chose the deviant path in the first place. Why should we break tradition and show the outliers in a much more positive light than those who abide by sacred desires of the heart? The fact of the matter is we are distorting the truth and making normal people feel bad about wanting normal things and shoving non normative things in our face and telling us we have to like it. Or else. Many people I know have been called sexist, bigots, racist, and even transphobic for expressing their preference in this area. I say those love long hair and those who love having it shouldn’t be demonized and othered by the media just to make the outliers feel better. We need to have fair and unbiased reporting of both long and short hair on women which will of course overwhelmingly conclude that NO ONE LIKES SHORT HAIR. In fact EVERYONE LIKES LONG HAIR. people are too scared of the backlash to admit it in public anymore. I’m not sure what the conspiracy is here. Maybe they’re trying to equalize us all for a new world order or promote some genderless utopia. Either way we need to take a stand for long haired women before they disappear forever.
