I was at my local museum taking in the local scene with my family, and teaching them about art. After the museum we were going to go shopping at Walmart for their low prices and for some haircare products. Walking thru an exhibit with children an be a bit tense at times, with their sticky little hands reaching out wanting to touch all the art. While I appreciate their interest in art my youngest who is 3 hasn’t learned what ‘please don’t touch the art’ means. A cute youngster even he has long hair.
My child was looking at a piece of art that was of a big bull, as he reached out to point, but it was out of reach. This “woman” screeched at him “no no don’t touch the art!” My child began to cry as he told me “daddy, scary man yell!” I looked over with some frustration and immediately bursted our laughing it was a older women with short boy hair. My son stopped crying after I started laughing, and the mean old “man” scuffled off.
The rest of the day and our Walmart trip went great after that encounter with a woman with short hair. Children speak the truth, it was a want to be man.
